WSP GmbH is one of the market leaders in thermal process plants for non-ferrous metals and heat-treatable steels. Close to Aachen’s city centre, around 70 employees design and build our plants, which are then commissioned at our customers’ sites worldwide. In addition, we manufacture stainless steel components at our subsidiary VULKAN Edelstahlkomponenten GmbH in Eschweiler.
Are you looking for a new technical challenge as a certified industrial foreman (metal) or master metalworker (m/f/d)? Then join our manufacturing team: as a foreman you run the shop floor and lead the skilled workers in manufacturing. You make sure that design drawings become ready-to-install plant components.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensuring that production orders are completed on time, on budget, and to specification
- Planning and controlling the deployment of staff, machinery, and material in manufacturing
- Technical leadership and development of the shop floor team
- Close cooperation with design engineering, work scheduling, and production management
- Ensuring smooth workshop operations — including hands-on work of your own
- Monitoring quality standards, occupational safety, and order in your area
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes
Your Profile
- Completed technical vocational training in metalworking plus further qualification as a master craftsman or technician (m/f/d)
- Several years of experience with welded structures and sheet metal fabrication
- Experience leading shop floor personnel
- Confident reading and implementation of technical drawings
- Strong leadership and communication skills as well as a team-oriented mindset
- Organizational talent, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Fluent German (spoken and written)
- Good MS Office skills
- Driving license class B
